Bio
Michael Burgis, Esq. is a knowledgeable and aggressive trial attorney who obtains maximum results for the injured. Mr. Burgis’ current focus is workers’ compensation and employment law, but his practice also includes handling personal injury cases.
A California native, Mr. Burgis earned a B.S. degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2003. In 2008, Mr. Burgis earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School and was admitted to the California Bar. He quickly proved to be a top trial attorney, setting settlement and trial records, and was first named a Top Attorney in 2010 by Pasadena Magazine.
Mr. Burgis has obtained numerous seven-figure and 100% disability awards for his clients and has successfully argued hundreds of cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. He has even had the rare and distinct honor of successfully arguing in front of the California Court of Appeals on a 100% permanent disability claim. You can view the Court of Appeals decision here.
